1 Timothy 2:1 says: “First of all, then, I urge that requests, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people”
The Timothy Strategy (TTS) want to unite people in prayer for their friends, communities and the world to see people turn to Jesus Christ, God willing. TTS will work through an online prayer strategy.
It is God alone who gives growth and God alone who saves people. We must trust him in prayer for all things. So in 1 Timothy 2:1 we are urged pray for all people as a high priority.
Equally in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 we are called to pray continually. So we want to help people pray while they are online. Now that people spend more and more time on social media and surfing the web we want to fill that time with productivity and prayer for the kingdom.
To do this we propose a three level prayer strategy that we want you to participate in.
1. Personal/ Online
This is praying for a number of friends that don’t yet know God and pray for them regularly that they will repent and believe.
TTS will encourage prayer via a blog, facebook and twitter to continue to pray for your friends salvation.
Prayer points for individual people can be emailed to us or posted on our facebook page to be prayed for
This is praying as a network across NSW for your communities and friends which may be your school, workplace, uni, church, or suburb/region.
TTS will publish blog posts on their website on a regular basis encouraging people to pray for different communities.
TTS will rely on subscribers submitting prayer requests via our blog or via email. Once received we notify our network of different events happening in your school, uni, region or church by posting them on our blog.
3. World Wide
This is praying for our nation and the world. TTS wants to support mission work within and outside the country. We will be regularly posting prayer points on our blog for missionaries serving God around the world or conflict that needs prayer for peace.
These prayer points can be submitted via facebook or email. We would love your feedback!
